This is part of a continuing series of my impressions and experiences staying at various hotels and resorts while traveling to attend concerts worldwide. This stay was during my recent trip to Las Vegas in October 2014. This review is for The Palms Casino Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Overall Rating: 3/5 [Note: Score is totally subjective based on price, location, and comparison to “like” properties within same area and price range]

I have stayed at The Palms Casino Hotel in the past, and unfortunately the past stay was much, much better (see prior review).

The Palms hosts one of my favorite concert venues in Las Vegas – their Pearl Concert Theater – which is inside the venue.  Highly recommended.

Check-in was quick and easy, and the room was very nice and contemporary, as well as clean.

The hotel, of course, offers a lot of Las Vegas-style amenities. I had opportunities to try food at several of the eating establishments, which was all great.

While it is off the Strip, in many ways that can be a plus for getting around, if you have a rental car or take advantage of shuttles (sometimes it is easier to get to other places on the Strip by circumventing, and limiting your time driving on the Strip itself).

Usually in Vegas, even lesser views are still interesting, as there is a lot to look at.  The room had a large king bed as well as a relaxing chair by the window.

There is also a well stocked, pay per use minifridge and food and other items on the counter above.

The first day and night of the stay was wonderful.  The second day and night was not.  From 11:00 AM until way past 3AM that night, there was a group in the room next door that started with loud partying in and out of their room (outside our room and up and down the hallway).  I called the front desk four times and they were never able to resolve the issue (by quieting the neighbors or moving us to another floor).  I have audio recordings of the people in the neighboring room screaming at the top of their lungs as well as physically fighting with one another.  Security came up a few times but were not effective.  It really ruined what would have otherwise been a great stay.

Below are some photos I took during my stay:
